For my friend Ruth

Just about to make it through another work week, thank you Lord for blessing me with this wonderful job. A retired employee and friend has been on my mind of late. When I started this blog, my main purpose was for it to be a blessing to friends and family who read it and to bring glory to the Lord. I have been told that my friend Ruth's husband is not doing well. So Ruth, this blog is for you. I have told you and others here at work that I have no idea how you managed IT , SACS, and your daily job duties. It is truly a testament of your tremendous work ethic. I was sad to see you go. I do like having your desk now, but I would gladly move back to the other end of the office should you return. With that said, I am truly saddened that your retirement has not been one of rest and joy. I type this with tears in my eyes and want you to know that I am praying for you and for your husband. I know the the Lord can and will deliver. Do not ever give up hope, for He is faithful and will never leave us or forsake us. We may cry in the night, but joy comes in the morning. I miss you and love you like a brother. Please know that you and your family are in my prayers, and if there is anything I or my family can do for the two of you, just call. May the peace that surpasses all understanding be with you this day. With love and prayers, Kirk
